Have You Remembered Everything for the Big Day?
Weddings are nothing if not complicated matters. Unless you and your betrothed decide to get married with the minimum of two witnesses and you don’t announce the event until afterwards, that is. Anything else requires precise planning from months in advance to ensure that everything is remembered and it all goes without a hitch.
There are outfits to choose and organise. You need to think about the flowers you want to have. How many people will be attending the wedding venue and reception? Will they both be held at the same venue, or will you have the wedding in a church or registry office and hold the reception elsewhere?
And what about the wedding breakfast? Will you have something formal or more relaxed, like a barbecue perhaps? Oh, and don’t forget you need to consider smaller details such as wedding favours to thank your guests, and table decorations of some kind as well.
As you can see, there is a lot to think about when planning your wedding . So how can you make sure you have remembered everything? The last thing you want is to realise you have forgotten something crucial with only days left to go until the big day itself.
The best bet is to make a list of all the things you need to do. Grab a big notepad for this – you will need plenty of room to jot down notes for each item. You might have very specific ideas right from the start about the wedding favours you like, while the flowers might draw a complete blank from you to start with. A big notepad will allow you to write down all the ideas you have without forgetting anything, and it will also make it clear which areas need more work.
Of course you also need to make sure you do all this several months in advance. The more notice you can give yourself when compiling this list the better. It greatly reduces any possibility of last minute panics when you realise you have forgotten something essential.
Get someone else to help you with this list as well. Ideally if you can get someone who is already married to look over the list for you, they should be able to more easily spot whether you have inadvertently missed anything off or not. The average wedding requires so much in the way of planning, you would be surprised how easy it is to miss something vital off that list!
