Instead, think about what you want from your wedding and which colour you would feel comfortable in. Half the congregation might be expecting you to wear white, but if you feel comfortable and attractive in royal blue then go for it. There are no limitations and no rules that cannot be broken.

If you are stuck for a colour for your dress, consider the time of year as well as what your overall wedding theme is likely to be. Both of these can provide inspiration for you. Darker colours are more suited to winter months whereas pastel colours always work best in the summer. But if you want to have a pale wintry theme during the winter and a pale dress works best to that effect, then you have found the ideal one for you.
